[macvoiceover] one more printer question (Sorry)

Ok guys, sorry to be such a pain. I have one (Hopefully) more question.
I am using my hp printer, I've scanned a document just to try it out, and I
know you have to have an ocr software to be able to read it, but I'm wondering
if there is a way to be sure the printer I already have will be compatible with
abbyyy since that's the program I'm looking at.
The document scanned and saved, but it was an a pdf immage. So obviously I
can't read that. :)
Wow, I feel so uneducated when it comes to this stuff.
