I have found use for the mouse/trackpad as well, being a totally blind user. There are certain programs, prominant among the certain Epson scanner drivers, that have their settings encapsulated in an unknown that Voiceover can't interact with. However, using the mouse I can still get to the settings button and change them. If you set VO up correctly it is very accurate in regards to where you are and what is currently under the mouse at the time, and quite useable. The rat won't bite :). As for the glass trackpad, I'd be interested in this also. My laptop's got a regular trackpad. For those interested, I've also used the mighty mouse, both wired and wireless versions, with the wired one being a bit more responsive than the wireless one and a touch less sensitive as well.

Does anybody use the current trackpads or even the mighty mouse? I keep meaning to take my mighty mousefor a spin. The only real difference is the fact that there is no separate click button. Apparently the whole pad is the click button.
