Hi Marc, I have skype in the dock, it's just that I forgot, when you first copy an application to the applications folder, if you're supposed to run it from there the first time to install it, which was tripping me up. Maybe running the application from the applications folder isn't necessary if it had been copied over the current skype, but I really think, that if you're going to answer questions about the beta, you should have it installed on your system, so you'll know what is being talked about, if you don't already, for guessing, does nobody any good, just want to be helpful.

I don't have any experience with the keychain thing you're talking about, but I believe that's just a privacy statement or disclaimer or something; maybe someone else who knows more about that can tell me, too. However, the way to shortcut the applications folder every time you want to start Skype is to either have it start automatically upon startup, which is in the preferences section, or to show skype in the dock. Let me know if you need instructions on how to do that; I find the dock to be by far the most convenient way to keep track of and launch applications.
