actually, to stop blank set yor verbosity to medium and make sure you are not interacting with the messages table.

Hi David, I turned it off because when I would shift tab back to the messages table, it would always say blank, so I unchecked it. It might not also be good to have that on when on a web page, just in case you tab accross a link, but if the message table would read fine, I would have left that checked.

do you have auto interact with tab turned on in the vo utility? I think it is on by default and cannot remember whether it works with the preview pane or not because I don't use the preview pane or auto interact when tabbing.

Hi all, I'm still having problems with mail not reading more than the first line when using the preview pane.

That's what I thought but it's not letting me do that. I can't read line by line, word by word or anything like that. It just reads the whole thing.

You have to understand how vo does things, otherwisse you won't get anywhere. To read mail line by line, or word by word, you need to use your vo-up down left right keys. To do this you need to be interacting with the message. Also, to read the mail list one column at a time like I do, you interact with the message table. Then when you want to select a message you just press vo j, the command that jmps you from the message table to the connected item, in this case the message itself. In safari, the html page is presnted to you object by object. You first interact with html content if it doesn't do so automaticaly, then with vo right and left you move between links, form controls, and text.

Hope this helps
