Hi, Yes, that is why I specified the iPod.  Since others had commented, in
this thread, about the iPod, I assumed some people may want to know.  And, I
actually didn't know about standby for a while and would always turn the
unit completely off.  It takes a bit of time to boot up from a fresh start,
but comes on in a second or 2 from standby.

Yeah but that
is not a very good indicator I guess because the iPhone is constantly
establishing and holding a connection to AT&T's network which is not the
case with an iPod.
