Along with the unnatural pauses in many email messages, I have also experienced this first letter phenomenon.

Subject: [macvoiceover] have you guys noticed in snow leopard?

Hi all, I read messages in the preview pane with snow leopard, and the latest update, and never gave this much thought until now, and that is, that voice over breaks up words, especially towards the ends of messages, for example, it will say, t hanks for any help, or in one of the messages I was reading, it said t he, when the actual word was the, so I wonder if, what is happening is, that voice over may be trying to read a model of what should be on the screen, and something is happening that the screen can't be redrawn, so letters get broken up? The screen reader on the other platform doesn't do this, so just wondering about this, and I did write accessibility at apple about this, for what it's worth.
