I can't try this right now as my son is using my iPhone to talk to his aunt,
but you could try grouping messages by conversation. That way if you have a lot
of messages from the same person, you could delete them all at once. Completely
ready for somebody to say that doesn't work though, I will give it a try as
soon as I get my phone back.
