Doesn't sound right, what went wrong with the hard drive ?
You should be under full guarantee but it should last many years !

Hi,
I downloaded Mt. Lyon on my Mac and it would not come back up, so my husband
took it into an Apple store today and they have to put in a new hard drive.
I am very surprised, I really thought these lasted a long time and I just got
mine in April.
Just wanted to let all of you know what happened.

                  Blessings Beverly
