i think with that app you must drag and drop the app. Unless you're using app trap, if so, start it and put stuff in the trash. ash Check out my website: http://www.ashleycox.co.uk/ And the AC tech podcast: http://www.bavis.co.uk/theactechpodcast/ ----- Original Message ----- From: william To: macvoiceover@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Saturday, March 13, 2010 12:24 PM Subject: [macvoiceover] Re: completely remove programs Hello all, thx for the hints, it seems to work simple. but, for me, it wasn't free, only a cost of 2,99 USD s, no problem. If the program is started , can I then simple remove a program like microsoft office or vmware, programs that require a setup, by putting them to the trash or make this way of workin your system (durty) and perhaps unstable? Also, I made more time-machine-backups with this programs installed on my system and so, If I should restore me system later from me time-machien backup, all this programs should set back? If I am shore, how can I remove also them from there so that they shouldn't be re-installed when I recover my system. Thanx in advance, best regards, William ps: this questions are perhaps more related to the macvisionaries list but, and I am not the only one, I can't re-subscribe to that list with me gmail-account. Who is responsible for that or can help? Just go to www.versiontracker.com and do a search for it. The pane is easy to install, and when you go into your applications folder and tell OS X to delete one, a dialog will pop up, telling you you're about to delete an application, plus you get a listing of the associated files, and the option to immediately move them, along with the app itself, to the trash. The app seems to work well with VO, and, as far as I can tell, it appears to be accurate in what it deletes. HTH? Best Regards, Ron J. So, It seems not so simple and fast to delete some programs completely. Sometimes there are still some .plist-files or other files/folders left on the hd. I found a program to delete programs completely named appzapper. Has enybody experiences with this program about functionality and/or accessibility with vo? Also , this is not frre.
