Hi David,
No, I am still on Lepard having ordered my upgrade. I have the time set ok, but can't change the time zone. So I will have to wait for sl or my girlfriend to arrive this afternoon to change it. Thanks for the good news though.
Steve

Steve, this is even better in snow leopard. you can check a box to have the time zone set to your current location approximation. if you uncheck this box, you can via the combo box findable with vo and arrows, type in your city and state and press enter and it should appear on the map.

Hi friends,
I have been trying to change the time zone on my macbook. When I go to the page in system preferences it tells me to click on a part of the world near where I live and select from a city near by. Because I can't see the world map or get vo to read it to me I have a very short list of West coast US cities to choose from. Is there a vo work around for that one? When I get e/mails they are being received and sent in US westcoast time, not Eastern standard Australian time. NOw I have visit the states several times and I love the bay area and the Napa valley, and sometimes I would love tolive there, I am about 17 hours ahead in cronoligical time. So if anyone can help, please let me know.
Thanks again,
Steve
