A keysapn USB to serial adapter like this:
http://www.keyspan.com/products/usa19hs/

It is needed to connect a Mac to a serial device. Your index Everest should work fine as it has a serial interface. You will need a null- modem cable or adapter and perhaps various kinds of gender changer adapters depending on the connections on the embosser and the cables.

I have quite a bit of background embossing braille on a Mac. I am the

You will want an embosser with a serial port as well as a USB to serial adapter, I suggest the Keyspan adapter. It may also be possible to use a Parallel to Bluetooth adapter but I have not personally tried it. At this
point Louis does not support USB embossers.

Louis will translate text, Word, xml, html and a wide range of
documents. It supports many different braille codes in many languages.
You can write you own translation tables for Louis if you wish.

Hello again,

Is here someone who hava experiences with printing in braile on a mac? I don't know if it's possible but perhaps, it should be possible with
some types of braille printers.
I can have a new one so, if I take the right one, this will be nice.

and also about braille tables:
I asked here before but is het somebody who knows about other
brailletables then the Us-table?
Normally I use the dutch one.
Is this kind of brailletable also available or can I adapt the us-
table?

thanx in advance
