Yup, but if you mute VO you lose your ability to do anything else on your
computer.
Double checking Nicole, are you on a Mac, or an IOS device?
If you’re on a Mac, and you can solve the problem I had that Cheryl had a fix
for, the problem of having your Voiceover voice heard by everyone else on the
meeting, then you can close the chat panel. In the Zoom client for Mac I was
able to find it ok, down towards the end of the text, like at the boottom of
the screen in VO terms. If I recall it was labelled as a tab, either expanded
or collapsed.
I don’t know how to close the chat panel on IOS, though.
BTW my solution for working on my computer while on a Zoom meeting is to run
Zoom through
my IPhone with a separate set of headphones while I have my Mac independent of
the meeting with its own headphones. Nobody seems to notice I have to different
types of headphones on, and the voice for announcements on the phone is
different enough that I can let the back of my brain process it while the human
voices take the front. Only down side to this is that I lose access to the chat
function because I have my phone on a tripod behind and up above my monitor.
Fun stuff this digital meeting world.

Does anyone use zoom meetings? If so, I’m wondering if there is a way for me
to mute voice over from reading the chats every time one comes in if I am on
another screen trying to complete a task.
