Carlos, do you mean VO is cutting out only with Adobe Reader or with any long
document, in other Apps, or only .pdf files ?

I just downloaded it yesterday. In my limited experience with it, it does seem
to work. However, VO a doesn’t seem to work to read continuously through long
documents. Not sure why but this doesn’t work on either my iMac nor my MacBook
Air.

Carlos,

Have you tried it and does it work?

Adobe Acrobat reader DC is now available and offers VoiceOver support. It
might be an alternative for you to reading PDF files on the Mac. You can
read the Adobe accessibility blog to learn more at the link below.

Isn't that interesting, after a reboot the file now opens in Preview
without having to close VO.
So, my suggestion after installing any OSX upgrade, reboot again !
Have not yet verified disc permissions.

At least one .pdf wont read but by selecting all, copying and opening in
text edit, I have the information, but why won't Preview read it ?
It will open if I first close VO. but not otherwise.
I will try after a reboot, and verification.

I just updated Yosemite last night to the latest version. Miracle of
miracles! You can now view .pdf attachments very easily. While your
cursor is on the attachment filename, hold down the shift, VO keys and m.
When the context menu appears, just hit “Open Document” and it will read it
in Preview, just like it should. That already made my day, I hope it makes
yours, too.
Best Blessings and wishes,
