you need to open the file suffixed .band
the mp3 file is a compression of the .aiff file.

One of our church guitarists recorded a track for me, now I need to know what
I can do with it. It was recorded in Garage Band, I have the MP3 he exported,
and he also shared the project with me through Google Drive. When I open what
he shared in Drive, thre is a folder, and then a bunch of stuff within that
folder. I eventually found an aiff file, which I downloaded to m computer and
was able to open in Garage Band, but it seems to be behaving just like the
MP3, an audio file with no other information.
What I’m hoping to do is open his project in Garage Band on my Mac, and add
some percussion using loops before I send it to our vocalists to work with.
Any suggestions on how to go about this?
Can I work with the aiff or the mp3 like a regular region from one of my own
projects?
