Hi Darrell, try the various podcasts on blind cool tech at
http://www.blindcooltech.com
as well as
http://www.icanworkthisthing.com
most programs, you just copy the .app file contained in a disc image, or .dmg file, and paste it in the applications folder, and the application is installed, but there are also .pkg installers, for things like flash, and flip for mac, that operate by prompts the way a windows installer would. I don't know if any of the tutorials that Mike Arrigo did deal with installing applications, but hope this information helps you.

Hello Everyone,

OK. I think I understand at least all the key concepts in the VoiceOver Getting Started Guide for Snow Leopard. Now, I want to understand some more advanced topics, like Mac OS keyboard shortcuts and installing new applications. What additional resources would you specifically recommend I consult next in my quest to learn the Mac? Are there any tutorials from a blind perspective outside the VoiceOver docs?

Thanks,

Darrell
