Hi Stacey,I think that trying to compare Jaws and VO is like trying to compare bananas and oranges. They are both fruit and they both are healthy and good for you. As a Jaws user I think it does a good job of handling the windows operating system. As a VO user, I think it handles the Mac operating system very efficiently. I have not found anything that I was able to do in windows that I can't accomplish on my Mac with VO. In some ways I like VO much better. I like the clear speech of VO and the fact that it is built into the OS and that I don't have to worry about authorizations and such. I do find that I now use my Mac more than I use my windows and Jaws. That's about all I can say.
Hope this helps. On May 27, 2009, at 10:20 PM, Stacey Robinson wrote:
Hi all,For people who used jaws and then went to a mac and voiceover, is jaws better? How do the two compare? I was talking about this with a friend of mine and she thought jaws was better, but had not really used vo.I just wondered if someone could give me a comparison.
