Hi,

Thank you everyone who has offered suggestions on how to solve my Snow Leopard problems. They have helped but some seem unsolvable at this time. I've been in touch with Apple Support. They have done every thing that I believe they can do and will contact other people at Apple. I also filed a feedback report. You might want to bookmark Apple's feedback url which is

Part of my report is shown below.
Note: This problem also affects our macbook.
I am partially sighted but not blind. My eyes are good enough, with zoom, to navigate. I have been using voiceover to speak whatever I point the mouse to. Snow Leopard has introduced a big problem.

I will use the desktop as an example of how the bug comes into play. When the mouse cursor moves across an icon and continues into an open area of the window voiceover reads aloud the name of the hard drive and every item on the desktop in alphabetical order. It drives me crazy. The same thing happens in the voiceover navigation window.

I've spent several days playing with the preference settings with out success. Calling apple support could not find a solution. My case number is
