Yes sure. There's probably a million things I could have done. But I wanted to pay for the convenience of it being built and delivered to me rather than having to hunt for the ram somewhere and then having to install it. Anyway,I changed from an Imac to a Mac Pro after speaking to another mate and hereminded me about the difficulty of installing extra hardware into the Imaclike extra drives etc. I'm glad I changed cause the apple guy I spoke togave me decent discounts so I only ended up spending an extra 300 bucks thanI would if I'd gone ahead and bought the Imac for a mac pro with 8 cor 2x 2.8 quad cor processors and 2 gb memory 750gb hd etc. The good thing is I'll be able to put extra ram later on if I need it by myself as the guy told me it would be easy to do that. Still, I think it should be quickenough and I don't have to put up with the 24 inch screen which I would havebeen forced to have with the Imac. Also, I probably will be able put in my couple of 1tb drives that I have on my other windows machines. -----Original Message----- From: macvoiceover-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:macvoiceover-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of vashaun jones Sent: Tuesday, 29 April 2008 10:20 AM To: macvoiceover@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [macvoiceover] Re: Thanks, I took the plunge. That's the latest and greatest but you could have saved about $300 on the RAM by not ordering it from Apple. I think that should keep me out of trouble for a while. :). I just want to take this opportunity to thank all of you who have given me invaluable help in the last few days. Thanks to your information, I am sure I will make the smooth transition from Windows to the Mac. However, I will always love the Windows interface and still will keep my Windows machines until I have completely mastered Leopard and the Mac.
