The mobileme service is just as accessible as dot mac was but will have more tools for users to use. When I reinstalled leopard over here, it of course installed dot mac and I filled in my credentials info too. When I opened up mail though I got an offer of a software update that converted all the settings on my machine that used to run dot mac over to run mobileme.
