I am sitting here writing in Alpine in terminal. It pays to have the old
tools!
A while ago I was working along on my computer (sorry but I don't remember
what I was exactly doing) and lost voiceover. I suspect maybe it is muted
but the trackpad also appears to be unresponsive. Obviously the computer
is up and working or I wouldn't be in a program in terminal writing this
email. Also I can control volume with the usual controls and my speakers
with airfoil are still playing music all over the apartment. Command-f5
does nothing I can detect; it doesn't even go to pinging when I move with
vo-left or vo-right arrow. I haven't tried to reboot because I am running
superduper and don't want to quit and of course have no way of knowing how
far it may have progressed. Eventually I will hope it is finished and try
to reboot. Meantime, any suggestions would be appreciated. My gmail inbox
comes up her in alpine so I should be able to receive mail.
Thanks for any help!!!
