Hi DaveThere are two keystrokes to do this, option+delete will delete the word to the left of the cursor, while option+forward-delete will delete the word to the right. Note that, in the Apple world, backspace is called delete, and what PC users call delete is known as forward- delete. So, in PC terms, option+backspace deletes the word to the left of the cursor, etc. Just wanted to clarify that.

Is there a single "delete word" keystroke one can use while editing and reading text? Thus far, I've found nothing in either the VO help or the help for TextEdit. Thanks, DaveClick on the link below to go to our homepage. http://www.icanworkthisthing.comManage your subscription by using the web interface on the link below.//www.freelists.org/list/macvoiceover Users can subscribe to this list by sending email to macvoiceover-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxxwith 'subscribe' in the Subject field OR by logging into the Webinterface at //www.freelists.org/list/macvoiceover
