Hi all. Here is the message I sent to accessibility re: my problem in pairing my iPad with my bluetooth keyboard. I'll let you know if they have information about this or probide a solution. Message to accessibility I am greatly enjoying my new iPad but I have encountered a problem that may be an accessibility issue though I am not actually sure what the cause of the problem is. I tried to pair my bluetooth keyboard with the iPad. The keyboard was readily recognized and I saw "not paired" for it. When I double-tapped on the "not paired" button (I'm using voiceover) it changed to "connecting" and nothing further happened even if I double-tapped this. Eventually the message would revert to "searching" and I would have to turn bluetooth off and back on on the keyboard to get it recognized again. I checked all over the screen of the iPad and could find no instructions and no password with which to finish the connection. However, if I hit enter or return on the keyboard when the "connecting" messagee was displayed, I immediately heard several tones and alerts, first giving me the password and telling me to enter this on the keyboard followed by enter or return, and then the message that my keyboard was unable to pair (not exact words) with an OK button. So the dilemma is this: the password doesn't show or speak in an accessible manner on the screen until I hit enter on the keyboard, and since hitting enter on the keyboard signals an attempt to enter a password, pairing fails and that password can't be used subsequently to attempt pairing. I haven't been able to get a sighted person to look at this yet to see whether the password is indeed displayed on the iPad screen before I hit enter. Hopefully I will have some sighted assistence in the late afternoon or this evening and can report further on this. Any help with this problem would be greatly appreciated.
