Not working for me yet, but have been able to scan as .pdf then scan as .docx 
which will open and read to me in Pages.

Relative success !

I’ve had good success with robobraille.org, a free on-line upload site. Easiest 
way to use it is to email your image file to convert@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx with the 
outpout file type in the subject line.
