If it is only 1 track of audio then for me yeah it would be over kill. Go to 
this link for more info. It is about 40 dollars but it is well worthit.There 
are  afew podcasts on http://blindcooltech.com and http://gwenna.podbean.com 
regarding this software. I have also used it to make multi track stuff but that 
is a bit combersome.
