[macvoiceover] Punching In in Garage Band

Hello List.
I am not sure if there is an accessible method for punching in on a
midi instrument track in the latest Garage Band.
From reading documentation, it sounds like you need to select the area
where you want to punch in, but I am not certain that this is the
case.
Any hints on punching in and whether this is possible would be great.
