Very interesting, as mentioned, while doing an update for Logic ProX the
Appstore appeared to get stuck at 80.5% of the download, I attempted various
remedies including deleting caches, I did not delete the Logic App itself.
I kept getting the message that the update was pending.
What worked was going into Safe boot/mode with a sighted friend, had to log in,
then went to the Appstore and clicked on 'update'.
Nothing seemed to happen, we opened Logic in Safe Mode but my friend is not
familiar with it so we decided to restart and after launching Logic it showed
that the update to 10.4.4 had now installed and in the Appstore it also
indicated that it had been installed today, not four days ago when I began this
exercise.
So, here is something to consider when getting into a glitch.
I believe VO was open in Safemode but there is no sound.
