[macvoiceover] Off topic, file recovery

Hi folks,
Off topic for VO, but it is in regard to a VoiceOver user I know.
They have accidentally deleted files on their system and had emptied
the trash as well. Is there any program or utility that can recovery
such files. I know Windows has a few, but I am not familiar with any
Mac ones.
