Hi Tyler! Yes, this helps a lot! Thanks so much! I'm not looking for a microphone, so these sound like a good possibility. Do you happen to recall what you payed for them? AblePlannet nc400 headphones. Or maybe it was 300d or c, I forget, but I own them and have owned them for going on 3 years. Pros: Basically everything. The microphones are located behind the protective plate, so wind noise doesn't effect these at all. The cord is detachable; if you want to swap out the cord it comes with with a 3.5 to 3.5 cable, you can; I'm using the one that came with an old mp3 player in 2006. The cord it does come with has a volume control right on it. It comes with a hard case and also a soft bag to put the headphones and all the attachments (so you can use it on planes or the bigger headphone ports - I forget what they're called, 5.5 inch?). Durable, and more durable! These things feel like a pair of 300 dollar headphones when you put them on. cons: The only con I can think of is that, and this may not be for some people, you enable the noise cancelation this also raises the voume of the sound. It also gets rid of some of the bass - but not much - did I mention these things have amazing sound quality? They are a tad bulky - they don't fold up, but the pros far outweigh the cons, in my opinion. No, they don't have a microphone. I'm not sure if you're looking with a noise cancelation headset with one - though not sure they make them. hope this helps Tyler On 2012-03-12, at 2:38 PM, Russell Solowoniuk wrote: Hi all, Does anyone have a suggestion for a good set of noise canceling headphones that will work both on the Mac and Windows platform? I'm not looking for bluetooth or wireless, but the wired variety. We are moving locations at work, and the space we are moving to is open, with not much privacy. I'd like a set of headphones that block out most of the external noise. I'd also like headphones that cover the entire ear, and are comfortable to wear all day long. It would be an added benefit if the headphones didn't cost much over $150 or so. Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Russell
