I don't think they've released a new MBP since some time early 2010. The last 
notebook overhauled was the Air. 

Taking it back isn't necessary by any means, but the updates to the line sound 
pretty substantial--to say nothing of cool. If it were me, I'd be disappointed 
to have spent the money, only for a decent upgrade to come out a few days 
later. YMMV.
