Hi Ian,
It would appear that my call to NetFlix last night was fruitful. I just went
in to NetFlix on my Apple TV to confirm some things before responding to your
email. When I navigated to NetFlix, VO read, “NetFlix, recently updated”.
Much to my surprise when I went to the 5 seasons of Suits, the episodes now
read fine. I’m assuming they put out an update to fix the issue after I spoke
to them last night. If this is the case, that’s pretty good accessibility
tech support! :)
FYI…
It was happening on all of NetFlix, not just Suits.
I have a friend with an Apple TV 3, and it was working fine for her last
night, so the issue was only with Apple TV 4.
Yes, it is possible to uninstall apps on the Apple TV 4. We tried that last
night… uninstalled and then reinstalled NetFlix with no luck.
Thanks for your response. I’m very glad the issue is now resolved.

Some trouble shooting thoughts:
Is it on all Netflix shows, or just Suits?
As of last night my older Apple TV was still giving episode descriptions on
shows, specifically Orange Is The New Black and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.
As of right now episode descriptions are there on the IOS app, specifically
Suits.
I don’t know the new Apple TV, is there a way to remove and reinstall
specific apps like Netflix?
I’m on teh Canadian Netflix too, so I’m guessing it’s not a region specific
bug.

Hi all,
Last night I sat down to watch season 5 of Suits. I haven't used my Apple TV
for quite a while, so I was surprised to find out that the episodes in
Suits, and other NetFlix series, seem not to be labelled. I am able to swipe
up and down and hear VO say, "Season 1", Season 2", etc. When I choose a
season, however, and swipe right to get into the list of episodes, VO just
says, "label", "label", etc.
I called Apple and the person I talked to said he will escalate the issue.
He seems to think it is a NetFlix issue. He was able to reproduce it on his
end.
I called NetFlix, and the person there thought it was probably an Apple
issue. I explained to him that it only happens in NetFlix, but his manager
suggested that we reset the Apple TV. He reassured me that I wouldn't lose
any of my apps, but, of course, I lost all of them. Good thing I didn't have
too many apps installed! :)
Needless to say, resetting the Apple TV did not fix the problem.
Has anyone else experienced this issue? If so, is there a fix, or do we need
to wait till the next update to NetFlix or Apple TV?
Thanks,
Russell
