Hey Tuscia, I had forgotten all about the chromatic tuner app for Mac, I had
lost it when my last computer died and never thought to get it back. I’ve been
using the Talking Tuner app for IPhone, but my recollection is that the Mac app
had really good sensitivity. Thanks for the reminder.

My Brother printer accessories are not 64bit, Garage Band 6.5 is not but I'm
fully a Logic user now, plus a chromatic tuner is not.

Hey Keith, which update are you referring to, IOS or Mac? I did a quick
analysis of my Mac apps and didn’t find anything that didn’t have an updated
option. The one I was most nervous about was Audio Book Binder, and that
looks ok. I wasn’t sure about VLC, but it looks to be fine too. All my other
apps are Apple or have updated versions or alternatives.
On the IOS side of things, the few apps I have that I was nervous about
turned out ok. I updated my old IPhone 5S to IOS 12 because something was
broken with IBooks and my son wanted to use it as an audio book player, and
maybe play a couple of his games. All the stuff I need to do is on my IPhone
8, and the apps I want to keep on the 5S all have updates for IOS 12, or I
don't care if they don’t work on the old phone. So it was a calculated
decision. Since the update the Books app is good to go with his audio books,
and I can use the new Screen Time function to find out if he’s sneaking any
unauthorized game play in.

Ian,
I think that you will be sorry that you have done that. For one thing it
looks like you can kiss your 32 bit apps good-by. It is just my opinion
but I think that Voiceover users will suffer because of this one.
IMHO.

I decided to go ahead and update, I read up on the security flaw, and the
issue seemed pretty specific and avoidable if you stuck to the core apps
Apple provides. Besides, the NSA has all our contact information
anyways…I’m only joking, please don’t send the helicopters to my house
again.

Has anyone tried Mojave yet?
Just checking.
