Thanks, that's just the kind of answer I was seeking. I won't yet make a nightly build of webkit the system-wide default, but glad to know such a thing is possible.

If you actually mean the system-wide HTML rendering engine, you need to replace the one installed with your OS with the one from the Webkit binary.
