I have MacSpeech Dictate. The question, "is it usable in conjunction with VO?" depends upon your definition of usable and of VO. The MacSpeech guys licensed the Dragon engine and cross platform UI library from Nuance. They have done as little as possible to make the interface accessible under OSX by adding any of the aspects of the accessibility API code to their owner drawn controls (they do, infrequently, use standard controls and get the accessibility for free here and there). Various features work acceptably but many of the most important ones: basic training, correcting misinterpretations, improving accuracy, etc. can hardly be described, in my book at least, as "usable" as, although some of them can be performed with a lot of cursor switching and serious poking around, these features really suck with VoiceOver. As for your definition of VO, I'm assuming you mean the killer screen access tool on Macintosh and not the Canadian Whiskey from Seagram's <laugh>.
