I agree, I was scared to touch my pantech after setting up my IPhone for fear I might not stick with it but I persisted and now am glad I did. I still dread typing but then I dreaded typing on keyboards of phones too.

I let the apple Store do my initial setup so it went fine. I've synced with iTunes and looked through some of the settings since then.

I want to share with any new users or would-be users that I was scared for the first couple of hours: scared that it might not work well for me, that I might not adjust to the gestures and the keypad. But i kept reminding myself that I had heard podcasts with blind people using this phone, and that while these people might be more brilliant and more coordinated than I, it was very probable that I could learn to use this phone too, albeit perhaps a little more slowly and less impressively. I'm probably still not up to dazling speed and skill, but I'm now comfortable and not afraid any more of failing to make the adjustment. I really should have done a podcast of me fumbling around at first; it would have not rated me any admiration but it might have encouraged those approaching this phone with trepidation to hear my pretty pathetic beginning and fairly rapid improvement to acceptable skill and performance. So hang in there if you're just starting and feeling a bit doubtful, and don't be afraid to try it.

I have all the respect in the world for those who picked up an iPhone and never looked back, but those of us who stumble and fumble through the initial learning phase can get there too!!!
