It may not be your password. Lately, very often when I go to the app store or itunes, I'm told that my account has been disabled and I have to go through entering my apple id and having them send me an email with a link. Then I re-enter my apple id and password again (I don't have to change the password though that's an alternative) and my account is re-enabled. It doesn't make sense as I know my credit card hasn't been compromised or anything. It's irritating but only takes a couple of minutes to fix.
