Tony,I think Textedit will work for most things. Check spelling, grammer, open Word files, HTML, XML and the list goes on. Textedit is not like wordpad, it is a real wordprocesser, for the most part. I really think Apple should change the name to explain better what it will really do.

Thanks Keith for such a speedy but detailed run down, Tony -----Original Message----- From: macvoiceover-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:macvoiceover-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Keith Reedy Sent: 08 October 2008 21:14 To: macvoiceover@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [macvoiceover] Re: IWorks and presentations Hi Tony and Sara, Pages does not work for Voiceover users. I think some one on the list has done some work with Keynote, maybe they will have some information. OpenOffice is working better, but, some folks don't like the wordprocesser, but, I am trying to use it. I think the spreadsheet part of OpenOffice is a good deal better. I am still using Textedit for most of my wordprocessing needs and some are using Neiceswriter, but, then, some don't like that either. Thats the rundown, but, by and large, iWork is still out to lunch, however,, I am told that it won't be long now. HTH. In fact in general I would be interested to hear of any VO accessible packages for creating or viewing presentations.
