Well, you should probably take the plunge and upgrade to Leopard. It really sounds like Tiger is giving you the weirdest problems ever with Safari, because never once with Leopard did I have this happen to me.

Face it. it's not worth the head ache it's causing me. I got a windows machine, so maybe I just should browse with that thing, unless I wanna download something directly to the mac at which I'd then be screwed.

I am sorry, but I am really frustrated right now. I almost and don't take this as a sob story, I really mean it. I'm almost crying. and I don't mean the frustrated little I'm crying with out my browser kind a expression, I mean I'm literally, nearly the boo hoo hoo kind of crhying. All I want is to enjoy this wonderful system and I do, don't read between my lines, but, it seems to me like no matter what: the browser is not working over here. Rather than people really helping me, I just get it should work, or, well it works for me... ok, well whoopty ding dong, it works for you, that is great. Spl'l'l'l'linded. doantcha wanna tell me though why it won't for me? I have tried everything. I understand what a few a you said with the auto refresh thing, but I promise that isn't it. ACB Radio doesn't auto refresh that I know a. NFB.org doesn't refresh. jfwlite.com, certainly doesn't refresh. biblegateway.com doesn't refresh. So why is it after I hiht enter to go to another page, do I get safari is busy, safari is busy, bs, yack? yack? yack! All I then can do is command q to quit. This thing's got a gig and a half s d ram, 500mhz. I mean I know that isn't any where even near! the fastest system, but, it should not! do that just! by me looking around the screen. I can't give you the exact what it's doing as every time it is different and every time it's not always the same result from page to page. Some times it only reads the first fourth the page, sometimes only the first few lines? some times it reads the page fine, at which case I am lucky, some times it reads it only if cursor tracking's off. Some times, it stops interacting with the html content if I vo down arrow too far in the html content on the page. Other times if I vo up arrow too far to get back up the page, it'll quit interacting. I stand before God and say this: my Fire crashes and shuts down out of nowhere if I vo down arrow real fast through a page to get past the block of links at the top a the page. God I wish v o had a way to jump to the next non linked text. I know in Leopard it does, but remember, I'm on Tiger 10.4.11? I just don't get this. other times I'll be on the page, and even pages that are just text with maybe one or two hiper links, no refresh or anything... it'll go so far then jump me back again to the top of the page. This usually only happens though if cursor tracking's on. also when I do command l, and put in an address I often hear safari is busy over and over with every letter I type. plus then when I hit return, I hear sometimes: Safari has new window.

Finally on Send space.

I hit the choose file button, vo+space. Yes cursor tracking was on. I click it. Not a bloody thing more than vo saying choose file button happens. yes I did vo f2 to be sure another window wasn't up in the back, but there wasn't. I even tried without cursor tracking then rooting the mouse and clicking.

I'm totally at a loss. I'm tempted to uninstall and reinstall Safari, although I dono how to do that so I'm not gonna attempt without someone being on the phone with me doing it. there will be no e-mail or msn with that. I won't unstall anything with no one sitting here talking me the first time through it. this pc is too important to me and I am scared sick to crash or dammage it.

So, at this point, don't take this personally, guys, but unless someone can help me with this either via e-mail, msn, skype, or most preferred, phone, I'm sorry but I will have to say my days of browsing the web on a mac will then have to be over.

ok, well, that is my story. now yall know why I hate Safari so much. if any of you all wanna help, go for it! but, other wise, I'm sorry, I'm a 2 day old, baby's first step, no, not that a baby that young would take a step, but come on! you know what I meant. From saying **** Safari! You fill in those asterisks, I'll give you a hint, the first letter should be the sixth of the alphebet. I'm sorry but this is stiewpid!

Chris.
