Ian,
After a heart operation just under 3 years ago it is necessary to track my
heart rate. I am waring a very nice devise called a
Garmin Instinct. It connects with the iPhone with an app called Connect.
The app is very readable with Voiceover. When some one checks my heart
rate manually my Garmin and there reading is the same. It is very
responsive and changes quickly with my heart rate.
When you click on one of the numbers like your heart rate it will give you
other information like resting heart rate and the highest heart rate for the
day. It does have a stress feature which tells you your bodies stress level.
It is most helpful.
I did have a Fitbit for a couple of years and the app read fine with
Voiceover but this device is much more responsive. This device was created
for those who run and do other kinds of exercise and has GPS built in.
HTH.

Hello list, I’m trying to figure out an option for a heart rate monitor for
exercise purposes, as apparently I’m, ahem, no longer at the age where I
can just run up the beats per minute, I’m supposed to hit a target rate,
blah blah optimum percentage or something.
Griping about exercise aside, does anyone have a good solution for a heart
rate monitor with an iPhone interface that is VO friendly?
Thanks much,
Ian
