Hi there. Summers are hot and humid where I live too; Canada gets very cold winters, but also hot summers...that's the price this part of Canada pays for being far from either pond. lol
I thought you had a Mac Mini?$3000 would get you an iMac I think or maybe a Mac Pro but I don't know Australian dollars.

HI Ron, Haha! NO, I think I won't take up your kind offer. What's snow smile? Where I live we don't get snow but if you travel a few hundred miles into Queensland and it is extreme winter, apparently snow does fall but I've never seen or felt it. Our winters are usually 10 to 16 Celsius at night and 20 to 25 Celsius during the day. That's why we get a lot of people moving to QLD for the winter. It's lovely to sit out on the veranda enjoying the sun on a winters day smile. But the down side to all this isthat our summers a bloody hot and humid to boot. That's when I'd definitelytake up the offer to dip in a big pond. Smile. Now to stay on topic, I've made the decision to definitely get a Mac. The only other decision to make though is which type. The MRS tells me I have 3000 to play with. Pity, I asked her if 22 thousand would be out of the question. Well, I don't need to tell you what her reaction was smile. Hahaha! Have a nice day mate. If you'd like, you can keep winter! <smile!> Where I'm at, Salem, South Dakota, USA, we had a snowstorm yesterday! We're talking the 25th of April, and that's actually quite unusual for this time of the year! In this area, anywhere between 2 and 15 inches fell. In my particular area, it was probably in the 6 to 10 inch range! FYI, I have a 4 to 5 foot drift in my back yard! Enjoy your Summer, whilst you still have it! <grin!> Take care! Just to keep on topic, I'll go back and play more with my Mac Mini. -----Original Message----- From: macvoiceover-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:macvoiceover-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of David Poehlman Sent: Friday, 25 April 2008 8:07 AM To: macvoiceover@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [macvoiceover] Re: Found them Dave, Sounds like you may need to take a dip in the pond <lol> ----- Original Message ----- From: "David Truong" <bnfiles@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <macvoiceover@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, April 24, 2008 5:41 PM Subject: [macvoiceover] Re: Found them Come on Sara, If you are as crazy as you clame and you always pick the most expensive things then go for that 30 thousand dollar Mac Pro. Maybe a price drop. I think a price drop would be nice even with the same hardware. I want one, but I will wait until they change I guess or until I have the cash. lol I still haven't ruled out the Mac Pro. I liked it best but of course it's the most money...why do I always pick the most expensive things? lol Sara ----- Original Message ----- From: "David Poehlman" <david.poehlman@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <macvoiceover@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, April 24, 2008 9:19 AM Subject: [macvoiceover] Re: Found themI've heard there are new Imacs on the way. Of course, I think there was a recent change to the IMac if I'm not mistaken so wonder what they will be like. I was kind of disapointed in the MacBook changes but we did get some neat new goodies. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sara" <push649@xxxxxxx> To: <macvoiceover@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, April 24, 2008 10:03 AM Subject: [macvoiceover] Found them Hi all. I found the refurb macs. They aren't a lot less than the new ones so I'm still not sure. I think I'll just save and get a new one. I've heard a rumour that the iMacs and minis might change soon so I think I'll wait. Has anybody else heard this? Thanks for the info and it's nice to know they're there.
