Cross-platform compatibility for one and snazzy looks. If something looks cool visually it's more apealing and people will likely want it, at least that's my experience of how it was on that other operating system. That's the reason i was so afraid everytime i heard that one program or another had ˙Completely revamped user interface from the ground up to make it more easy-to-use.˚ That usually meant that all accessibility that maybe was there had gone straight down the drain.
