Thanks for the vote of confidence for copying to Text Edit, I think the file
was an e-book with a whack of graphics. I tried one with the same number of
pages but all text and it was fine.
Has anyone tried the Doxillion text converter from NCH? I've used a bunch of
their stuff with Windows and it worked great, but the Mac version of Doxillion
quit every time I tried to convert a pdf, which is what it is for.
