[macvoiceover] Configuring read iris

I have downloaded and installed VuScan 8.66, released on October 24th. I am
following the guide on Icanworkthisthing.com and have configured VuScan itself,
but even though I changed the viewer under output to Read Iris, I cannot find
Read iris itself, so I can configure it per the setup guide's instructions, and
there are some very important options I need to change. I looked all through
the menubar and couldn't find it. How do I get to Read Iris so I can configure
its options? Do I actually have to scan a document first so it will put me into
the read iris viewer before I can access the settings, layout, etc. menus?
Thanks in advance for any help that can be provided. I do love this program so
far.
