[macvoiceover] Can't send text messages

I’m traveling and using our Tmobile service from the US. I’m supposed to be
able to text and use data without charge. I pay for phone calls. Everything is
working fine but I can’t send texts: I can receive; get my email so I know data
is working? But can’t text.
Any thoughts? If I can solve this without taking some of my precious
sightseeing time to track down a phone store, I’d be grateful.
Now I’m using my Mac which I also have with me.
