Hello Stacey:

I think you are asking if ITunes can burn mp3 files to a CD and yes.

Hello Stacey:

I have seen other replies to your message however I'll reply to the original message you sent.

Before I continue the other suggestions using ITunes are good ones but what if you want to copy files to a CD maybe txt, exe well you get my point and this can be done. I am going to give instructions below so hopefully this will help others who want to copy non- related files to a CD.

If you have a folder containing files you want to burn to a CD/DVD, do the following. From the desktop just make a folder naming it temp and the reason I suggest making it on the desktop for easy access. Copy the desired files to this folder, then from the file menu in Finder, VO-down untill you hear make new burn folder. Except the defaults. Go back to the temp folder, command-a which selects all, command-c which copys to the clipboard. Next navigate to the burn folder and do command which copys the aliases of the temp folder to the burn folder.

Next, insert a blank CD/DVD and make sure to show in the Finder which VO will announce as a dialog. You'll then see an untitled volume on your desktop. Navigate to the burn folder, command-a and then under file, choose burn folder. You than choose to label your CD/DVD and navigating around you can also adjust the write speed. After burning starts, you can then check the status ETC.

It works pretty slick and just wanted to offer this option because ITunes won't burn txt files ETC grin.

Hope this helps and sorry for the long message. smile

John

Hi all,
If I were to buy a mac, which I haven't yet, is there a way to rip cd's that is accessible?
Currently, with windows xp I use goldwave or windows media player.
