It sounds like you have quick navigation turned on. This is turned on and off by pressing the left and right arrow keys at the same time. This feature allows you to navigate using the keyboard by just pressing the arrow keys. If this was off, and he still had voice over on, you would have to press control option plus the arrow key in the direction you want to move Sent from my iPhone On Apr 3, 2012, at 8:54 AM, Smith Larry <Larry.Smith2@xxxxxxx> wrote: Hello list. I have a zagg folio keyboard that I'm using with my iPad 3rd generation. The keyboard seems to be working just fine. However, I'm curious to know if what I'm about to describe is by design or if there may be a problem with the keyboard. When I have voiceover turned on, I can use the arrow keys at any location on the iPad, including the home screen. I can arrow through the list of apps and folders. Now, when I turn voiceover off, the arrow keys does not work. However, if I open an app such as email, messages, pages, etc, and touch a field where an entry can be typed, the keyboard does work. I can also tab between entry fields. I'm just wondering if this is by design because someone not using voiceover wouldn't be using arrow and tab keys normally, or is there a problem with this keyboard?
