Hi, list.
I am not understanding how battery charging is handled in Big Sur. When I look
at Battery in System Preferences, it says, “Battery charging on hold,” and
shows my battery at 80% charged, even when I have the power adapter plugged in.
What do I need to do to get the charge up to 100%, or is that not advisable,
for battery age, as the explanation seems to imply? I’m just confused about the
best way to make sure my battery life is as long as it can be, in case I need
to use the laptop away from AC power for an extended period of time.
Thanks!
