Suzanne, how long have you noticed this authentication alert, is it since
Sierra ?
Mine has gone quiet since I extended screen sleep to 20 minutes but I cannot
say I have solved it.
John Panneriss mentioned it may be due to pairing the apple watch which I don’t
have and ceases on its’ own.
