an ftp client is a program that access ftp sites. cyberduck is the one they recommend but it seems the most popular one is transmit which if I recall has a cost while cyberduck is free. remember the app will cost you $25.00. if you go to the vod page in the app store, there are a couple of links for the company and support for vod which have lots of info.
