Yeah, I kind a noticed that about selecting in a row, is the cursor tracking off, vo down arrow, vo command space the only way to select if they are not in a row, or is there another easier way.

To select multiple items in a row, just hold down shift, and arrow down (or up) until you have all the items you want selected.
