This morning I woke up and picked up my phone and it said something about
activation lock. Well no, first it had hello and "press home to open" in
several languages, and then I had to enter my password, and then I saw
activation lock. I had to enter my appple id and password and then everything
was fine. I have no idea what would have caused this. Has anybody else had this
happen just out of the blue? I know what activation lock is. It is something to
be used so that a thief can't use your phone without having both your apple id
and password though it's kind of silly; before your entry of email address it
actually gives part of your email address. Really strange! Almost makes one
want to drop the use of a smart phone permanently! This isn't at all the kind
of screen you usually see if an update just occurred. I know automatic updates
can occur when the phone is plugged in but I don't think this was what this was.

May the words of my mouth
and the meditation of my heart
be acceptable to You, Lord,
my rock and my Redeemer.
